Come dance, sing and explore with your little one in a fun and nurturing environment. No prior experience required by kiddos or their grown ups. Tiny students are encouraged to move, be merry and follow the lead of our wonderful teaching staff with you! This 45 minute class meets weekly. Participants should dress comfortably and be barefoot. Dancewear and ballet shoes are not required for this class but are absolutely welcome.

Our Pre-Dance program is a fun and inspiring introduction into the world of movement. Through both ballet and tap, students learn coordination and teamwork while igniting their growing passion for the arts. This hour-long class meets weekly. Students are required to wear dance attire they are comfortable in (leotards, tights, leggings, shorts, ballet skirts, etc.) with hair pulled back off their face. Proper shoes are required for both ballet and tap but are not brand specific during this session.

New this Season: Pre-Hip Hop and Tiny Tumbling. Build strength and confidence while having a super great time!

Core curriculum classes offer students ages 5 and older the opportunity to focus on the discipline(s) of their choice. At SGC, the five core subjects are Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap. Each class will focus on technique, history and genre specific style in an inclusive and equitable environment. Core Students will work collaboratively, set goals to reach their own potential, achieve a greater sense of self, and develop critical thinking skills, all while keeping their joy and passion for the arts growing. Core curriculum classes meet once weekly. Dress code and shoe requirements are class specific.

The Company at SGC is our intensive program for students who display a drive and aptitude for dance. Students will set and meet goals rapidly at this level, work collaboratively and increase their independence and self motivation. The Company is a three tiered program:

Pre-Company for Dancers 4-6, for those who want a small taste of competitive dance. and our full company.

Dance Company Apprentice for dancers 7 and older who want a tase of competition life.

The Company will take part in community performances, competitions, and workshops outside of the studio. Company members are required to attend core curriculum classes, as well as closed company classes, team building and rehearsals. Weekly hourly requirements and routine placement are age and level dependent. All dancers applying to be a member of the SGC 2023-2024 company are required to be enrolled in Summer Study Classes.

Electives are short-term specialty workshops that allow students to explore the arts beyond our five core disciplines. Throughout the calendar year, we will host a variety of intensives and classes, some will span over the course of a few weeks, while others will pop up at the studio for just a day. These workshops are age specific and will often feature guest faculty.
