Important Information 2023/2024
All Classes for the duration of the school year. Each class will prepare a short performance piece to be performed at our student showcase in May 2024. Core Curriculum tuition includes the cost costumes for this event. If your child begins classes after September, there may be a small costume fee before Showcase.

September 9th, 2023 - Classes Begin
October 31st, 2023 - Studio Closed (Halloween)
November 22nd to 26th - Studio Closed (Thanksgiving Break)
December 19th and 20th - Company Rehearsal and Classes Only, No Core Classes
December 19th, 2023 to January 1st, 2024 - Studio Closed (Holiday Break)
January 15th, 2024 - Studio Closed (MLK)
February 19th and 20th 2024 - Studio Closed (Presidents Day)
March 2024 - Picture Day TBD
March 29th and 30th 2024 - Studio Closed (Easter Weekend)
April 8th to 13th 2024 - Studio Closed (Spring Break)
May 11th 2024- Spring Studio Showcase
Dress Code:
Creative Movement- Participants should dress comfortably and be barefoot. Dancewear and ballet shoes are not required for this class but are absolutely welcome.
Pre Dance- Students are required to wear dance attire they are comfortable in (leotards, tights, leggings, shorts, ballet skirts, unitards, etc). Hair pulled back off their face. Pink Ballet Shoes and Black Tap Shoes.
Core Ballet-
Hair in a bun, double buns, french twist or tucked braids.
Black leotard
Black Tights
All other core styles of dance-
Hair in a bun, double buns, french twist or tucked braids.
Form Fitting dancewear: legging, crop tops, leotards, unitards, athletic shorts, athletic (stretch) tanks/tees.
Sweatpants and t-shirts are allowed for Hip Hop only.
Our Studio is proud to partner with The Dancer’s World in Hamden, Ct. Their store carries all SGC dress code requirements.
